iOS14 Home Screen Aesthetic Ideas
It's here! The iOS14 update from Apple has made its release! If you have been on any social media platforms recently, you may have started to see different videos about what people are doing with their iOS14 home page layout, theme and aesthetic wise. After becoming in love with watching these videos, I have made a big compiled list of tips and tricks to make your home page aesthetic just the way you want it, as well as a bunch of links to Pinterest boards that have all the inspiration you need!
STEP 1: Choose Your Aesthetic!
Whether you want your home page colour coordinated or themed, there are images everywhere that can provide just the right feel you're looking for. Here are some ideas of what you could make your home page aesthetic based on:
- One set colour
- A colour palette (pastel, seasonal, etc.)
- A tv show
- Your favourite movie
- Your beliefs (Bible verses, symbols, etc.)
- Your country or home town
- An emotion (happy, chill, calm, etc.)
- The current season (fall, winter, etc.)
- The next upcoming holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.)
- Your dream or goal (career, graduation, etc.)
- Friends and family
- Your pets
- Travelling
STEP TWO: Select Your Images!

STEP THREE: Download The Apps!
There are multiple apps that will help you get what you need to download or install the layouts and images you require. Some of these include editing apps, Pinterest, Widgetsmith, etc. These are what will allow you to download your images, add the "widgets" or the new boxes on your home screen, and will also allow you to make sure your colour palette can be kept the same on all your images. For example, if you're going for a more light, pastel, bright type of vibe, editing the lighting and contrast on your selected images to all be at the same level will help make this aesthetic even more visually pleasing to the eye!
